เช้าของวันที่ 17 ตุลาคม พ.ศ. 2551 เวลาประมาณ 04:30 น. บนทางหลวงหมายเลข 3214 ห่างจากทางแยกต่างระดับคลองหลวงเล็กน้อย เกิดอุบัติเหตุรถตู้หลุดออกจากถนนชนท้ายรถตู้ที่จอดอยู่บนไหล่ทาง จากนั้นรถได้เสียหลักพุ่งชนกำแพงอาคารข้างทางและเสาไฟฟ้า เป็นเหตุให้ส่วนหน้าของรถตู้ได้รับความเสียหายและยุบเข้าไปในห้องผู้โดยสาร ส่วนผู้ขับขี่ติดอยู่ภายในรถและได้รับบาดเจ็บสาหัสที่ขา

After a long trip from Chiang Rai, at about 04:30 AM on 17 October 2008, a van lost control on Highway No. 3214, close to the Klong Luang Interchange. Immediately after leaving the traveling way, the vehicle hit the rear part of another van and crashed into the wall of a workshop’s gate and successively hit an electric pole nearby before stopping. The front part of the van intruded into the occupant compartment with an apparent box-shaped deformation and the driver suffered serious leg injuries.
