TARC is investigating bus crash which kills 13 children in Nadi, Prachinburi.

A crash occurred on early Friday, February 28.  A total of 15 people die as double-decker bus taking students on daytrip collides with truck and crashes off side of road

A double-decker tour bus carrying students on a school trip to Pattaya  crashed into an 18-wheeler truck, killing 15 people and injuring more than 30 people. The fatalities included 13 children, between the ages of 10 and 15, and two teachers.

As the bus drove along a downhill road in the early morning, it slammed into 18-wheeler truck that was in front of it, then lost control and went over the shoulder.  The left part of the bus was seriously damaged, and many children were thrown outside the bus.

TARC reported that the highway 304 at station 40-45 km is the most dangerous highway section in Thailand as many fatal accidents have occurred.  The highway is 2-lane highway passing between Khao Yai National Park and Thap Lan National Park.  It was observed that there is no seatbelt installed on the bus and most of the bus seats on the second deck were completely removed after the crash.
